At first, I began to express my feelings through writing. Even now, writing is, of course, important to me. When I was hospitalized, I couldn’t do anything. I just slept after undergoing several surgeries. My body was sick, so I couldn’t do anything, but the good thing was that my mind kept working. I organized countless thoughts in my head, and more stories came to mind. And the conclusion of those thoughts was ‘YouTube’<\/strong>. I liked how writing helped me organize my feelings, and I felt I was healing without even realizing it as I communicated with many people. But YouTube felt too difficult. ‘Can I really do it?’, ‘Do I have to show my face to everyone?’, ‘But I’m ugly…’, ‘I’m not an amazing person…’, ‘I’m not famous…’ These worries spiraled, one after another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wasn’t sure if my idea was right or if I should really go ahead with my plan. I constantly asked myself, ‘This path is right. I’ll try even if it’s difficult. I shouldn’t think it’s too hard. It will definitely work out.’ I didn’t give up just because it was difficult. Rather than blindly following what others did, I thought I was a person who had to overcome life’s hardships without being too late, even if it was difficult. People around me called me stupid. They asked me why I had to make it so difficult when there was an easier way, and everyone else was doing it. They said, ‘What you’re doing is right. But if you do it this way, you’ll fall behind others and make money much later.’ Of course, it’s not that I never wanted to succeed faster and bigger than others. But despite that, I believed I had to become a better person little by little, and I resolved not to use shortcuts or dishonest methods. Even today, watching YouTube can be hard. ‘I can’t even speak properly…’, ‘I don’t even know the internet well…’, ‘Can I really do it? No one will watch it even if I do…’ Negative thoughts like these sometimes cross my mind. But whenever they do, the thought of ‘Let’s just try, even now,’ comes to me even more strongly. During my five-day hospitalization at Samsung Hospital after my surgery, my thoughts became even firmer. ‘Right, I’m David.’ I resolved to move forward with my own plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a story I wanted to keep in my heart all this time. I met countless people at Samsung Hospital. I was struggling with my stroke, but there were also patients with more severe strokes, and some with minor ones. Seeing them, I thought, ‘Yes, I can do this. I’ll do well. I’m well enough to help people who were more severely injured by a stroke. I’ll live this way.’ So, during the five days I was hospitalized, I really prepared for YouTube. Of course, I didn’t prepare every day. I was sick, so I just slept, ate, took my medicine, and slept again. But when I was awake, I thought about YouTube. I thought about how to prepare and what stories I should tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m still a very lacking person, even among YouTube beginners. But I believe that as I get a little better each day, I will be able to help more people. I want to show the YouTube channel I created to many people. And please, subscribe, like, and turn on notifications so I can have the strength to continue making YouTube videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
