01David's story
Three years ago
I had a stroke. My speech became slurred, my memory unreliable. It took me two years just to order a coffee by myself again. Taking the subway, getting a haircut, cooking a meal — everything had to be relearned from scratch.
Through recovery
I made it through because of my family — especially my wife, a speech-language rehabilitation specialist. I don't think I could have made it alone.
A year ago
Less than a year after that, I was diagnosed with cancer. That experience taught me something: for some people, remembering to take a single dose of medicine on time can be a matter of life and death.
Today
I built StoryNudge — a free medication management app for anyone who has to take medicine every day. I hope it helps more people get through each day feeling a little less alone, and a little safer.
